A T1 line is a dedicated connection supporting data rates of 1.544 megabits per second. Using a point-to-point T1 connection, businesses can send over 5.5 gigabits of information per hour!

T-1 lines are sometimes referred to as DS1 lines. A T-1 line consists of 24 individual DS0 lines, each of which supports 64Kbits per second. Each DS0 line can be configured to carry voice or data traffic.
