The Point 2 Points' Network Operations Center (NOC) supports 24 x 7 x 365 proactive monitoring and management of our customer's IP VPN. We monitor the security and health of the firewall with all managed equipment monitored within the service boundary utilizing SNMP and ICMP techniques, both in-band and out-of-band. Using our Support Tools available via a password-protected web interface ; customers can determine real-time status on their managed network assets, order status, trouble tickets, and bandwidth utilization.
Our security features include:
- Network Address Translation (NAT) provides the customer with the ability to address the protected network with reserved or private IP address blocks, providing ease of installation and an added level of security by separating the customers IP space from the public Internet.
- Attack Recognition and Protection protects against several types of attacks including:
- IP Spoofing
- Denial of Service Attacks
- Ping of Death
- URL Screening utilizes continually updated URL lists that enable denial of user groups access to categories or specific web sites that are deemed inappropriate by the customer. The types of sites are broken down into various categories (roughly 30) such as: adult entertainment, politics, drugs, shopping, gambling, illegal, violence, etc.
